About This Treatment
This session took place with our nailist Nami in charge. The guest, visiting from the United States, chose our Full Design Light menu on natural nails, with no removal needed. The set included 10 extensions to add length.
Design Points
Sculpted white blossoms sit on three of the nails, raised off the surface with a stone set into the centre of each flower. The remaining nails carry a sheer base with a fine silver glitter worked from the cuticle outward, and a line of small stones follows the smile line on one finger.
The palette stays within white, clear and silver throughout. Keeping the colour restrained lets the texture do the work, so the difference between the flat glitter, the raised flowers and the faceted stones is what gives the set its variation.
About the Visit
The guest works as a nurse, so it had been a while since she’d had her nails done. She was clearly happy to be back in the chair. What stood out to her most was how natural the extensions looked — she was genuinely impressed by how seamlessly the added length read as her own nails.
Care and Style Notes
Extensions like these suit anyone who wants a bit more length without a heavy or obviously artificial look. A few points to keep them looking their best:
- Use cuticle oil daily to keep the nail and surrounding skin flexible, which helps reduce lifting.
- Wear gloves for cleaning or dishwashing to limit exposure to water and chemicals.
- Avoid using nails as tools (opening cans, peeling stickers) to prevent snags.
A simple extension set like this generally holds well for about three to four weeks, depending on nail growth and daily habits. It’s a good option for those in hands-on jobs who still want a tidy, natural finish.

Getting the extensions to feel like a natural continuation of the nail was the part I paid the most attention to this time. When length looks understated rather than added on, it works for almost any daily routine — and seeing the guest react to that natural finish made the session especially nice.
