About This Treatment
This session took place at lull. in Harajuku. The menu was a Full Design Custom, which included removal of an existing acrylic and extension set with 3D parts. The client was visiting from the Netherlands. Nami handled the appointment from start to finish.
Design Points
Every nail carries a French tip, but no two tips match. Some are black with white polka dots, some white with black dots, and others are striped in alternating black and white. A few are split diagonally rather than following the usual curve.
A single silver stone sits near the base of most nails, away from the tip, which keeps the eye moving down the nail instead of stopping at the edge. Working in black, white and clear only means the variation comes from pattern and placement rather than colour.
About Your Care and Style
A Full Design Custom is a good fit for anyone who wants their nails shaped to a specific look rather than a set menu. When 3D parts are involved, a few habits help the finish last. Keep the raised areas away from hard knocks, and wear gloves for tasks like dishwashing or cleaning to reduce lifting at the edges. Applying cuticle oil daily keeps the surrounding skin supple and supports the seal at the base.
For removal, it’s best to book a proper off appointment rather than picking at the material. Acrylic and 3D parts are built in layers, and prying them off can take part of the natural nail with them. With regular care, a custom set like this generally holds its shape well for around three to four weeks, depending on nail growth and daily use.
Comment from Your Nailist
The removal was the part that needed the most attention this time. Taking down a set with 3D parts means working through it step by step so the natural nail underneath stays in good condition before the new design goes on. The client looked happy with the result, which made the session a pleasure to work on. — Nami
