About This Treatment
This set was done by our nailist Nami at lull. in Harajuku. The client chose our Full Design Light menu, and we handled the existing gel with a fill-in method rather than a full removal. She is from Singapore and visits us regularly.
The fill-in approach keeps the base gel that is still intact and only reshapes and rebuilds where needed. It is a good fit for anyone who comes back for maintenance on a steady schedule.
Design Points
The set was built around a clean, easy-to-wear finish that works with the Full Design Light menu. The focus was on a smooth surface, tidy cuticle lines, and a balanced shape across all ten nails.
Because the base was carried over with a fill-in, the growth line stays subtle and the overall look feels refreshed rather than rebuilt from scratch. It’s a style that sits comfortably in daily life while still looking polished.

A Note From the Visit
This client comes to see us roughly once every three months, and she’s someone we always end up chatting with. She travels to Tokyo about once a month, so she knows the city well — from good spots to eat to where to go, she often has recommendations of her own.
One thing that comes up is her connection to the Pokémon card world through a friend, which is part of why she’s in Tokyo so often. It makes for easy conversation, and she left the salon looking happy with how the set turned out.
Care and Style Notes
A fill-in set can be a smart choice if you get your nails done on a regular cycle. Since the healthy base gel is kept and only the regrowth area is filled, there’s less filing on the natural nail over time, which helps reduce stress on the plate.
For longevity, most fill-in gel sets hold well for around three to four weeks, depending on how fast your nails grow and how you use your hands. Keeping the cuticles moisturized and avoiding using your nails as tools will help the finish last. This kind of clean, simple design suits anyone who wants low-maintenance nails that still look put together — a good match for frequent travelers who don’t want fuss between visits.
Comment From Your Nailist (Nami)
I always look forward to this client’s visits. She knows Tokyo better than a lot of locals, and our conversations range all over the place, including her friend’s work in the Pokémon card scene. For this set I kept the fill-in tidy so the base stays strong for her next visit — since she’s on a steady schedule, building for the long run makes sense. Glad she was happy with it.
