Full Design Light is a menu where every nail gets its own design, rather than one repeated pattern across all ten. Starting from a bare nail changes how the work begins — prep goes straight into shaping and cuticle care, and the base layer sits directly on the natural nail. That keeps the overall build thin, so the finish stays close to the nail plate and the edges read clean from the side.
Working finger by finger also lets the balance be adjusted as the set comes together, so the nails hold up as a set when the hand is viewed as a whole.

Our guest is Korean American, and she arrived with a very put-together look — the kind of styling where the nails are clearly part of the outfit, not an afterthought. Mami kept that in mind while building the set. When the last nail was cured and she saw both hands together, her reaction said it all: she was genuinely pleased.
Care & Style Points
Gel applied over bare nails generally holds around three to four weeks, depending on how fast your nails grow and how much you use your hands. A few habits that help:
- Apply cuticle oil once or twice a day. Dry skin around the nail is one of the most common causes of lifting at the edges.
- Wear gloves for dishes and cleaning. Long exposure to hot water and detergent shortens the life of any gel set.
- Don’t use your nails as tools — opening cans and peeling labels is what breaks the seal at the tip.
A full-design menu suits anyone who prefers variety across the hand rather than one uniform color, and it works well for travelers who want a set that lasts through the rest of the trip and beyond. Because the build is thin over natural nails, it’s also a comfortable option if you’re not used to wearing gel regularly.
A Note from Mami
With bare nails, there’s no old product to work around, so the whole set can be planned from scratch. I enjoy that — the color placement and the order of the fingers are decided fresh, with nothing carried over. Watching a client check her hands under the light at the end and break into a smile is the part of the job that doesn’t get old.
