About This Treatment
This session took place at lull. in Harajuku. The menu was our Full Design Custom, performed by nail artist Mami. The client came in with bare, natural nails, so no removal or replacement was needed. The design included 10 nail extensions. Our guest was visiting from the Philippines.
Design Points
Each nail carries a different stone-like marble — deep burgundy, warm amber with gold flecks, pale olive, and a milky grey. The colours are blended with depth rather than laid flat, so each nail reads like a cross-section of a different mineral.
One nail is finished with gold veins running across it in the kintsugi style, following irregular lines as though repairing a break, with a single stone set where two lines meet. Keeping that treatment to one nail lets it stand as the centrepiece.
A Note From the Visit
Our guest shared that she runs her own business in the Philippines and had recently spent time around Japan. She showed us photos from Itoshima and mentioned how beautiful the coast there was. It was a relaxed, cheerful visit, and she was clearly happy talking about the trip while the set came together.
Care and Style Tips
Nail extensions like these usually hold their shape for around three to four weeks, depending on your daily routine and nail growth. To keep them looking their best, apply cuticle oil regularly and avoid using your nails as tools for opening or scratching. Working on this set was a pleasant one. Since we started from bare nails, I could shape the extensions from scratch and match them closely to her hand. Hearing about her time in Itoshima made the session feel easygoing, and it’s always nice to send a guest off happy with a set that fits the trip they’re on.
