About This Treatment
This set was created by our nailist Mami at lull. in Harajuku. The menu was Full Design Light, which included removal of previous acrylic extensions before starting fresh. Ten new extensions were added to build out the length and shape. Our guest was visiting from France.
Design Points
The focus here was a refined, understated look rather than anything loud. Ten extensions gave the nails clean length and an even silhouette, forming a smooth canvas from base to tip. The overall balance leaned toward a mature, elegant feeling — soft and polished, with a shape that reads as grown-up without going bold. It’s the kind of finish that suits both everyday wear and a slightly more dressed-up moment.
A Note From the Visit
Our guest is French-Japanese and was in her late teens. She was about to start at a new school the very next day and felt a little nervous about it. We chatted through the appointment, and it was genuinely fun to talk with her. She wanted something that felt a bit more grown-up, and she looked happy with how the nails turned out.
Care and Style Tips
Extensions like these hold up well for around three to four weeks, depending on how quickly your natural nails grow and how you use your hands day to day. To keep them looking their best, a little cuticle oil each day helps the surrounding skin stay soft and keeps the edges from lifting. Try to avoid using your nails as tools — opening cans or peeling stickers puts stress on the tips. A design like this, with clean length and a calm, mature finish, works well for anyone who wants something elegant that still feels wearable for school, work, or daily life. It’s also a good option if you prefer a look that isn’t too flashy but still feels finished.
