About This Treatment
The client, visiting from the United States, chose the Full Design Custom menu. Her nails were bare beforehand, so no removal was needed. The design was applied over natural nails, with ten extensions added to build length. Nami handled the treatment from start to finish.
Design Points
A muted grey base sets the tone here, closer to still water than to a bright colour. Koi in orange and white are painted across the nails, with white lilies and green leaves worked in around them, and clear droplets raised on the surface.
Grey is an unusual choice for this motif, and it changes how the design reads. Rather than the brightness you often see with koi art, the set stays quiet and the fish become the only strong colour. The longer length from the extensions gives each nail room for a full scene rather than a single small motif.

Care and Style Notes
A full custom design on extensions usually holds for around three to four weeks, depending on how quickly your natural nails grow and your daily habits. Wearing gloves for cleaning and washing dishes helps protect the edges, and using cuticle oil daily keeps the surrounding skin from drying out. If an extension lifts or catches, it’s better to book a fix than to pull at it. This type of set suits people who want extra length and a fully personalized design, and it’s a good option if you’re traveling and want your nails to last through a longer trip.
Nailist’s Comment
Starting from bare nails gives a clean slate, which I always find satisfying to work with. Building length with ten extensions and then shaping the full design step by step let me focus on getting the proportions right. The client looked genuinely pleased with how the set turned out, which made the session an enjoyable one for me too.
