About This Treatment
This session took place with our nail artist Nami. The chosen menu was Chrome, applied on natural nails without any prior removal. Added options included two charms and two stones. Our guest was visiting from Spain.
Design Points
A deep burgundy covers the set with a chrome finish worked over it, giving the red a metallic depth rather than a flat gloss. Two nails carry a sculpted white bow, raised well off the surface and placed off-centre.
A single small stone sits near the cuticle on one nail. Keeping the bows to two nails and leaving the rest plain means the burgundy stays the main event, with the white used only where it will register.
A Note From the Visit
Our guest was a teenage visitor from Spain with Vietnamese roots. She seemed genuinely happy with the finished nails, which was lovely to see during her time in Tokyo.
Care and Style Tips
Chrome finishes rely on a smooth, even surface to keep that clean mirror effect, so a fresh top coat now and then helps maintain the shine over time. Applied on natural nails, this style is a lighter option for those who prefer not to add length or thickness. Chrome tends to suit anyone who likes a modern, eye-catching look without heavy 3D decoration, though charms and stones can be added for a little extra character, as they were here. With everyday care, this kind of set generally holds up well for a few weeks.
Comment From the Nail Artist
Nami notes that chrome can shift in tone depending on the lighting, which makes it fun to see how it changes throughout the day. Placing the charms and stones so they sit comfortably alongside that reflective surface was the small detail she focused on for this set.
