About This Treatment
This session took place at lull. in Harajuku. The nail artist in charge was Nami. The menu was a One Color manicure applied to natural nails, with no removal or replacement needed beforehand. Our guest was visiting from Colombia. No charms, stones, stickers, or extensions were added.
Design Points
A single deep burgundy runs across all ten nails, with a fine shimmer worked into the colour. The finish shifts between a flat wine red and a brighter, almost metallic red depending on how the light falls, so the set reads differently indoors and outside.
There is no art on any nail. The shape is kept short and round, which suits a colour this saturated — the eye goes to the depth of the red rather than to length or detail. This set was done with polish rather than gel, at the client’s request, so the surface has a softer, more natural sheen than a cured gel finish.
The Visit
Our guest wasn’t fond of gel, so she brought her own polish and remover and asked for a One Color finish within the session time. She mentioned that this kind of polish-based style is common in Colombia. Since regular lacquer can be worn without full drying under a lamp, she was happy to head out with her nails as they were. She looked pleased with how it turned out.
Care and Style Tips
A polish manicure like this dries in the open air rather than under a UV or LED lamp. It usually lasts around several days to a week, depending on daily activity and whether a top coat is applied. To keep the color looking fresh, a light layer of clear top coat every couple of days helps. This style suits anyone who prefers a lighter option, wants to avoid gel, or likes to change colors often at home. Removal is simple with standard nail polish remover.
