About This Treatment
This session used a magnetic gel technique on natural nails, with one additional color added at the client’s request.
Design Points
An ice blue and a warm grey alternate across the set, both finished with magnetic gel so a band of light runs through each nail. The second colour was added during the appointment rather than being part of the original plan.
There is no art anywhere. Both tones are muted enough to pass in workplaces where visible nail art is not permitted, while the magnetic finish keeps them from looking like a plain coat of colour.

A Note From the Visit
Our guest works for a clothing retailer in the United States, and mentioned that flashy nail designs aren’t allowed there. That was a small surprise on our end, since the brand carries a free and easygoing image abroad. It shaped the direction of the design toward something clean and understated.
The conversation also turned to Japanese animation. She’s a fan of Studio Ghibli and other anime, and chatting about it made the appointment a genuinely fun one.
Care and Style Tips
Magnet gel is a good match for anyone who wants movement and depth without added charms or stones. Because the effect comes from the gel itself, the surface stays smooth and low-profile, which suits workplaces with dress codes.
To keep the finish looking its best, apply cuticle oil daily and wear gloves during dishwashing or cleaning. Gel done on natural nails generally holds up for around three to four weeks, depending on nail growth and daily habits. If you prefer a subtle style that still has visual interest, a magnetic finish is worth considering.
Comment From Your Nail Artist
Working within a “keep it simple” brief can be its own kind of fun. With just the base and one added color, the goal was to let the magnet effect do the talking. Talking Ghibli and anime while working made the time pass quickly, and she seemed happy with how it came out.
