About This Treatment
This set was done, by our nailist Nami. The menu was a magnet gel design applied to natural nails, with no removal or gel-off needed beforehand. Our guest was visiting from the United States.
Design Points
A single grey-blue runs across all ten nails with no art on any of them. Magnetic gel gives the colour a soft pearl band down the centre of each nail, so the finish reads closer to brushed metal than to a flat polish.
On short, rounded nails this kind of single-colour work depends entirely on the finish. There is no design to look at, so the evenness of the gel and the placement of the magnetic line carry the whole set.
Care and Style Notes
Magnet gel tends to hold its shine well, and with normal wear you can expect a clean look for around three weeks. To keep the metallic flow crisp, a little cuticle oil each day helps the surrounding skin stay in good condition without dulling the gel.
This style suits people who want something eye-catching but not busy. Since it works beautifully as a single-color design, it fits those who prefer a refined, minimal look, and it photographs well under different lighting. It’s also a good choice when you want a manicure that feels finished without any added parts.
Comment from the Nailist (Nami)
The magnet work is where this set really comes alive. Getting the light band to sit in the right spot takes a steady hand and good timing while the gel is still workable. On bare nails there’s nowhere to hide, so the goal was a smooth, even flow across every nail. Seeing our guest look so happy with the result made the session a pleasure.
