About This Treatment
Our nail artist Nami worked on a Full Design Custom set for a guest visiting from the United States. The service was done on natural nails, with no removal or replacement needed. No charms, stones, stickers, or extensions were added this time.
Design Points
A soft grey-blue is blended into a sheer pink base, uneven enough that the two colours pool differently on each nail. Small white five-petal flowers are painted across most of the set, scattered rather than arranged.
Gold foil is pressed into the surface in small irregular pieces, concentrated where the two base colours meet. On short nails this combination works because none of the three elements — colour, flower, foil — takes up much space on its own.

A Note From the Visit
Our guest was originally from San Francisco and is currently staying in Sendai for two months, studying biology at a lab at Tohoku University. She was easy to chat with, and the conversation flowed naturally throughout the appointment. She looked genuinely happy with the finished nails.
Care and Style Tips
A Full Design Custom on natural nails is a great option if you prefer a lighter feel without extensions. To help the design last, try to avoid using your nails as tools, wear gloves when doing dishes or cleaning, and apply cuticle oil daily to keep the surrounding skin and nail flexible. On natural nails, a custom hand-painted set generally holds its look well for around two to three weeks, depending on your nail growth and lifestyle. It’s ideal for people who want a personalized design but need their hands ready for study, work, or travel.
Comment From Your Nail Artist (Nami)
It was a pleasure painting a fully custom set for someone spending part of their time in Japan for research. Working on natural nails means every line and color choice really shows, so I took my time getting the detail right. Seeing her reaction at the end made the appointment a nice one for me too.
