White Blossoms and Silver Line Work on Sheer Pink | Delicate Nails in Tokyo

About This Treatment

One of our guests visited lull. in Harajuku for a Full Design Custom session. She came to us from New York, in the United States. The service was done on natural nails, with no removal or extension work involved. Her nail artist for the day was Nami.

Design Points

Sculpted white flowers sit on several nails, some flat and petal-like, others built up with a raised centre. Fine silver line work is drawn around them — thin stems, a small bow, and scattered dots — over a sheer pink base.

One nail moves to a soft olive green with white flowers on it, breaking the pink run without introducing a strong colour. The silver is used sparingly enough that it reads as detail rather than as glitter.

The Visit

Our guest traveled from New York and had experienced nail art a few times before, so she had a sense of what she liked going into the session. She settled in calmly and let the design come together at her own pace. When the finished look was revealed, she looked genuinely pleased with it.

Care and Style Tips

A design applied to natural nails, without extensions, tends to feel very light and close to your own nail. To keep this kind of finish looking good, a few small habits help. Apply cuticle oil daily to keep the surrounding skin soft and reduce lifting at the edges. Wear gloves for dishwashing or cleaning, since prolonged water and detergent exposure shortens wear time. As a rough guide, hand-painted art on natural nails often holds up well for around two to three weeks, depending on how quickly your nails grow and how you use your hands. This style suits anyone who prefers a natural, low-profile look, or who is trying nail art for the first time and wants something comfortable and easy to live with.

A Note from Your Nail Artist, Nami

Working on natural nails means the art really has to speak for itself, so I paid close attention to placement and balance on each finger. It was nice to work with someone who already knew a little about nails and had her own taste. Seeing her happy with the result at the end made the session feel complete for me.
