About This Treatment
We welcomed a guest from the United States to lull. in Harajuku. She chose our Full Design Custom menu, applied on natural nails with no removal or replacement needed. Her nail artist for the day was Mami.
Design Points
Three different tips run across the set: a white French, a black-and-white zebra print, and a pink-and-white split. One nail carries a band of gold beads laid along the smile line, and two have a pink feathered flower worked flat into the surface with gold flecks around it.
The base stays sheer on every nail. Mixing four treatments across ten nails works here because the palette holds to white, pink and gold throughout, with black appearing only in the zebra print.
The Visit
Our guest is 19 and a second-year university student majoring in business. She’s been into nails since she was three, and now she does her own nails, her best friend’s nails, and even runs a bit of business of her own. Nail art is clearly a long-running part of her life, so sitting in the chair as the guest this time was a nice change of pace.
She’s currently traveling through Taiwan and Japan, with Kyoto on the schedule this week. Over her time in Japan she’s been enjoying the food too — she told us she prefers udon over ramen, and that getting to eat tempura made her happy. She looked genuinely pleased with the finished nails.
Care and Style Notes

Working with someone who’s had a hand in nails for most of her life made this a fun session. Because she knows the process well, we could focus on getting the custom design just right on her natural nails. I hope the color travels well with her through Kyoto and the rest of her trip.
