About This Treatment
Nailist: Nami Menu: Full Design Light Nail condition at the start: bare natural nails, so no removal or rebalance was needed Extensions: none The guest visited us from the United States.
Design Points
Because the nails were bare when she sat down, the work began straight from prep on the natural nail plate. No length was added, so the design sits on her own nail shape and follows its natural curve. Full Design Light covers all ten nails with art rather than a single flat color, and keeping the length as-is makes the finish easy to live with — typing, packing, and pulling a suitcase through a station all stay comfortable.

Her Visit
She is a university student from Seattle, Korean-American, and told us it had been about two years since her last nail appointment. Coming back to a salon after that long tends to make the reveal moment more fun, and she looked genuinely pleased when she checked all ten fingers at the end. Harajuku is an easy stop to fit into a Tokyo trip, and we’re happy to work in English if that makes booking simpler.
Care and Style Notes
Gel applied directly to natural nails, with no extensions, generally holds for around three to four weeks depending on how fast your nails grow and how much you use your hands. A few habits help it last:
- Apply cuticle oil once or twice a day, especially after washing dishes or showering.
- Use the pads of your fingers, not your nails, to open cans and peel stickers.
- Wear gloves for cleaning products.
- If a corner lifts, don’t pick at it — picking pulls up the top layers of the natural nail.
A full design on natural length suits travelers, students, and anyone who works with their hands but still wants art on every nail. It’s also a good re-entry option if you’ve been away from salons for a while, since nothing is glued on and removal later is straightforward.
Comment from the Nailist (Nami)
Nami: “Working on bare nails is a clean start — no removal, so we could spend that time on the design itself. She hadn’t had her nails done in two years, so I wanted the moment she looked down at all ten to be worth the wait. Thank you for choosing lull. on your trip.”
